ORDINANCE NO. 04- <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION OF AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A SALARY INCREASE <br /> FOR THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> <br />This ordinance amends Section 2.01.09 of the City Code entitled "Salaries" by increasing <br />the salaries of the Mayor and Council Members. <br /> <br />SECTION 1. AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the Home Rule Charter <br />o f t he C i ty o f Ram sey, Section 2.7 and Minnesota Statutes 415.11. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. PURPOSE <br /> <br /> It is the purpose of this Ordinance to authorize a salary increase for the mayor. The <br />last such salary increase occurred in 1989. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. AMENDMENT <br /> <br /> Section 2.01.09 of the City Code is amended to provide as follows: <br /> <br /> Subdivision 1. Mayor. The salary of the Mayor of the City of Ramsey shall <br />be $833 per month ($10,000 per year) effective January 1, 2005. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br /> This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty (30) days after its <br />publication according to law. <br /> <br /> PASSED by the City Council of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota, the 13th day of <br />July, 2004. <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
