PC CASE #~.~ <br /> <br /> CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A <br />PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKER <br /> <br />By: Givonna Reed, Human Resources Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />|n June 2004 the Public Works Maintenance position was advertised internally. Four <br />applications were received and all four applicants were interviewed. Based on the <br />interview panel's review, staff is recommending that E. Andy Eccleston be hired for the <br />Public Works Maintenance Worker position. <br /> <br />Staff Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff is recommending E. Andy Eccleston for the position of full-time Public Works <br />Maintenance Worker at a starting wage of $16.03/hr, plus benefits. Mr. Eccleston's <br />appointment is contingent upon successful completion of criminal background and <br />reference checks and passing a pre-employment physical and drug screen. With Council <br />approval, Mr. Eccleston's start date will be on or near July 19, 2004. <br /> <br />Committee Action: <br /> <br />Motion to recommend E.
