Since there ,~21 be no direct b/g,n/DOT cog <br />participation in the 142nd ).venue signal, t.hey do not oppose the installation of the conduit <br />system during the roadway cons~.~ction project, nor do they oppose the prepszation of sisal <br />consmacrion plans at this dine. <br /> <br />The follo,,vis, g co,se of action w-~ outlined as a result of this discussion: <br /> <br />The conduit system for a "~t'ure" signal at 142ndAvenue will be designed, bid and <br />consmacted with the roadway improvement project. Interconnect cable from <br />CSAH 118 to CS)~r-I 5 will be nxn O_rough these condm.'ts as well. <br /> <br />The remainder of the signal system; poles, wh-ing, etc. wilt be designed and ~, eluded in <br />the plans as a separate pay item with contract stipulations of the possible deletion of that <br />pay [tern at a later date, however a bid pric~ will be ~aken. <br /> <br />The installation of the completed signal system wiI1 be conmoUed in the contract time <br />provisions by the use of a delayed stzr~ date for that work. The start date Mil be <br />tentatively set for one month a_ffer the intersection of CSA.H 5~_'Xkzlmo has been under'fi.t/2 <br />signal control and a tr~c count cart be made to dete~ir~e signal warrant status at <br />142nd Avenue. <br /> <br />The pla_ns a.re to be completed in April of I999, wi*& the bid le~ng in October 1999. <br /> <br />A new traff2c count and warfare ev~uarion will be made in Seotember of 1999. If the <br />sigm. al is clemrly justified at that time, t~hen the full signal system will be authorized for <br />construction witi~ the remainder of the proj act. <br /> <br />If the sign~ is not justified in September of 1999, the project ~Gll be bid and constructed <br />initially 'oAth oMy the conduit system. ~ffer the completion of the CSAH 5/'Jr -:Jcl.mo signal <br />system in the sum_ruer of 2000, another sisal warrant analysis will be pe~ormed. <br /> <br /> <br />
