ORDINANCE NO. 04- CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 2 OF THE RAMSEY CITY CODE WHICH CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS THE "COUNCIL, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS" CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE. AN ORDINANCE ADDING TO THE CITY CODE "BOARD OF APPEALS AND ADJUSTMENTS/OFFICIAL MAPS" AS A LISTED BOARD UNDER SECTION 2.03 OF THE CITY CODE BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 2.03.01 AND ADDING SUBDIVISION 7 TO SUBSECTION 2.03.06, WHICH SUBDIVISION SHALL BE ENTITLED "BOARD OF APPEALS AND ADJUSTMENTS/OFFICIAL MAPS." Thc City of Ramsey Ordains: SECTION I. AMENDMENT A. Subsection 2.03.01 Establishment, Subdivision 1. Boards and Commissions of the City Code is amended by the addition of a new Board to be known as the Board of Appeals and Adjustments/Official Maps. B. Section 2.03.06 of the City Code is amended by the addition ora new Subdivision 7. entitled "Board of Appeals and Adjustments/Official Maps" which new Subdivision 7. shall provide as follows: Subd. 7. Board of Appeals and Adjustments/Official Maps. Objective. The primary objective of the Board of Appeals and Adjustments/ Official Maps is to consider appeals by owners of land who have been denied a land use permit, zoning permit, approval for a building on land or any other City action taken pursuant to City Code Section 9.20.32 entitled "Official Map" xvhich may affect the landowner's land. The appeal procedures shall be pursuant to Minn. Stat. 462.359 and City Code Section 9.20.32. bJ Membership and Term of Office. Notwithstanding Subsection 2.03.02, Subd. 3. there shall be five (5) members of the Board of Appeals and Adjustments/ Official Maps who shall be appointed by the City's Mayor for staggered four year terms. At least one of the members shall be a current member of the Planning Commission. All other terms of Section 2.03 shall be applicable to the Board of Appeals and Adjustments/Official Maps.
