ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY <br /> <br />To Whom It May Concern: <br /> <br />Proposals for the Curbside Recycling Program for the City of Ramsey will be received by the <br />City of Ralnsey at the office of the Community Development Assistant, or designee, until <br /> on ,2004, at which time, at said office, proposals will be reviewed. <br /> <br />Principal components of the project include the following: <br /> <br />I. Provide every other week curbside recycling collection service to approximately 6,300 <br /> households in the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />2. The recycling program will be a co-mingled system with a container provided by the City. <br /> <br />3. The co-mingled program shall include, at the minimum, the following materials: <br /> <br />a) Newsprint <br />b) Glass <br />c) Almninum, steel and tin cans <br />d) Mixed paper <br />e) Corrugated cardboard <br />f) Phone books <br />g) Clothes/textiles <br />h) Other materials as mutually agreed upon by the City and Contractor <br /> <br />4. The program will also include the contractor to provide for bi-annual recycling days which <br /> shall include the following minimum services: <br /> <br />a) Roll-off box(s), or equivalent for scrap metal <br />b) Roll-off box(s), or equivalent for curbside recycling materials <br />c) All required labor for collection on the collection days and removal of materials collected <br />d) All required trucking services for the delivery and removal of the roll-off boxes <br /> <br />5. Provide to the City a monthly tonnage report for curbside recycling collected and for <br /> recycling events(s). <br /> <br />6. Provide to the City three references from current and/or past customers, preferably references <br /> from other Cities within the Anoka County area. <br /> <br />No contractor may withdraw their proposal for at least sixty days after the scheduled closing <br />time for the receipt of proposals.
