i I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I TO: Park and Recreation Commission FROM: City Staff RE: Park Commission Business Enclosures (D2-a) (D2-b) (D2-c) Copy of praice quotes on backstop installation for Central Park Copy of LAWCON grant application April 17, 1984 minutes of Anoka Park and Recreation Advisory Board meeting CASE #1: CONTINUE DISCUSSION ON CENTRAL PARK: Listed below are some items on Central Park which need to be discussed by the Park Board: a) The possibility of installing facilities at Central Park, whether temporary or permanent, which may lead to something better later on. b) Installing horseshoe pits c) Installing volleyball courts (This would be where they provide their own nets for now) d) The possibility of having two buildings installed in Central Park (one for general park use and the other one for RYAA use) e) Additional ideas of the Park Board members. The 1984 Budget does have $6,000 set aside for bleachers. How- ever, the Park Board may want to look at putting this money towards other areas such as lighting, building facilities, etc. (This is another area which needs to be explored by the Park Commission.) Another item for discussion by the Park Commission is the place- ment of a sign for Central Park. Street Superintendent Mevissen has indicated a sign for Central Park will be ready soon and you should have an area assigned for its placement. .I~f~rmational re~ardin~ Central Park: a) Enclosure (D2-a) contains a copy of the price quotes on the backstop installation for Central Park.
