i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />TO: Park and Recreation Commission <br /> <br />FROM: City Staff <br /> <br />RE: Park Commission Business <br /> <br />Enclosures (D2-a) <br /> <br /> (D2-b) <br /> (D2-c) <br /> <br />Copy of praice quotes on backstop installation for <br />Central Park <br />Copy of LAWCON grant application <br />April 17, 1984 minutes of Anoka Park and Recreation <br />Advisory Board meeting <br /> <br />CASE #1: <br /> <br />CONTINUE DISCUSSION ON CENTRAL PARK: <br /> <br />Listed below are some items on Central Park which need to be <br />discussed by the Park Board: <br /> <br />a) The possibility of installing facilities at Central <br />Park, whether temporary or permanent, which may lead to <br />something better later on. <br /> <br />b) Installing horseshoe pits <br /> <br />c) Installing volleyball courts (This would be where they <br />provide their own nets for now) <br /> <br />d) The possibility of having two buildings installed in <br />Central Park (one for general park use and the other one for <br />RYAA use) <br /> <br />e) Additional ideas of the Park Board members. <br /> <br />The 1984 Budget does have $6,000 set aside for bleachers. How- <br />ever, the Park Board may want to look at putting this money <br />towards other areas such as lighting, building facilities, etc. <br />(This is another area which needs to be explored by the Park <br />Commission.) <br /> <br />Another item for discussion by the Park Commission is the place- <br />ment of a sign for Central Park. Street Superintendent Mevissen <br />has indicated a sign for Central Park will be ready soon and you <br />should have an area assigned for its placement. <br /> <br />.I~f~rmational re~ardin~ Central Park: <br /> <br />a) Enclosure (D2-a) contains a copy of the price quotes on <br />the backstop installation for Central Park. <br /> <br /> <br />
