If you have questions about <br />the criteria, contact Arne Stefferud at 291-6360. <br /> <br />INFORMATION AND FORMS REQUESTED BY THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br /> <br />In addition to the information requested by the Dept. of Energy and Economic <br />Development (DEED) (Items H-K), the Metropolitan Council requests the following: <br /> <br />1. The site map in the application (Item I) should be drawn to scale with a <br /> north orientation arrow. <br /> <br />Along with the. five-year recreation action.,plan (i.e, Capital Improvement <br />Program - Item J), please indicate whether this CIP has been adopted by <br />your community's governing body. <br /> <br />The recreation plan .(Item K) should also include an inventory of your local <br />park system. You can use the inventory from the Parks and Open Space Chap- <br />ter of your community's comprehensive plan or prepare an inventory using <br />the following classification system: <br /> <br />Mini-park: Services a limited population or specific age group such <br />as tots or senior citizens and is usually less than one acre in size. <br /> <br />Neighborhood Park/Playground! Area for intense recreational activi- <br />Ti~ike' fi'el~ games, Court games, crafts, apparatus areas, skating <br />and neighborhood centers. <br /> <br />m <br />m <br />m <br /> <br />Community Playfield: Area for intense recreation facilities like <br />athletic fields anQ'swimming pools. It may include some neighborhood <br />park facilities. <br /> <br />Community Park: Area of natural or ornamental quality for outdoor <br />recreation §uch as walking and picnicking.
