You have the option of sending a copy of these ordinances alon~ <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />i <br /> <br />with your ~rant apPlication. <br /> <br />IMPLEMENTING DEVELOPMENT FRAI4EWORK POLICY 19B <br /> <br />In the past, the Metropolitan Council has designated active recreation projects <br />(e.g., ballfields) that were located in the Rural Service Area outside Rural <br />Centers (see Appendix 3 for map of Rural Service Area and Rural Centers). This <br />practice was done to assure that funding a specific public service {in this <br />case, recreation) was consistent with the orderly and efficient provision of <br />all public services based on Development Framework Policy 19b. <br /> <br />For FY '85 applications, the Council will discourage, but not disqualify, <br />active recreation projects by ranking them below others lOcated in Rural <br />Centers, Freestanding Growth Centers or the Urban Service Area as depicted in <br />Appendix 3. The DEED retains the right to change the ranking of these projects <br />--thus allowing them to get a grant. The Council can challenge that change <br />before the Legislative CommissiOn on Minnesota Resources (LCMR) which will <br />decide whether a grant should be awarded. <br /> <br /> <br />
