r.I <br /> <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> i <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />Page Four <br /> <br />The recreation criteria will be given two~thirds weight and the sponsor <br />community's housing performance one-third weight for the Council°s ranking <br />of FY '85 LAWCON/LCMR grant applications. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED GRANT ALLOCATION CRITERIA <br /> <br />Applications which meet the general guidelines for boat launches <br />IAppendix 2) on lakes identified in Appendix 1, will be given priority for <br />funding under the following conditions: <br /> <br />No more than five percent should be allocated from total grant funds <br />for eligible boat launch projects taken "off the top" prior to allo- <br />cating the rest of the grant funds to Policy Planning Areas. <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />If more than five percent of total grant funds are needed to finance <br />all eligible boat launch projects, the balance should be taken from <br />the Policy Planning Area allocation where the boat launch is located. <br /> <br />Ce <br /> <br />Applicants who wish to acquire land for a boat launch should receive <br />appropriate consent from the landowner and/or other authority prior to <br />submitting the preliminary grant application. <br /> <br />Applicants are encouraged to seek technical/financial assistance <br />from DNR to supplement the LAWCON/LCMR grant and insure that the pro- <br />ject meets the general guidelines for boat launches (Appendix 2). <br /> <br />Funds available after a maximum of five percent is allocated off the top <br />for qualified boat lauch projects will be allocated by Policy Planning <br />Areas: <br /> <br />Fully Developed Area <br />Area of Planned Urbanization <br />Freestanding Growth Centers <br />Rural Service Area <br /> <br />48% <br />38% <br /> 9% <br /> 5% not to exceed $100,000 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />(Please see Appendix 3 for a map of Policy Planning Areas.) <br /> <br />There is no limit on the number of FY '85 LAWCON/LCMR grants a city may <br />receive in any Policy Planning Area. Grants will be awarded based on the <br />ranking list approved by the LCMR. <br /> <br />7.
