I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br /> <br />Case 06: _Mr. Sidney Schaumber9 Regar.d, in9 Road Easement: <br /> <br />Mr. Sidney was present to discuss upgrading Sunfish Lake Drive to gravel <br />and becoming a City street. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec replied that the residents would have to deed over the right-of-way <br />for that road, residents would have to pay for the upgrading and a variance <br />to the blacktop requirement is necessary. Mayor Gamec noted that it wauld be <br />simpler and less expensive to the residents if they upgraded it to City <br />standards themselves and then turn the street over to the City. <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle stated that plans and specs for upgrading the road would have to <br />be reviewed by the City Engineer. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich advised that the residents be sure Council is willing to waive <br />the blacktop requirement before doing anything. <br /> <br />Councilmember Sorteberg recommended that Mr. Schaumberg begin by getting a <br />petition of the residents requesting that the City waive the blacktop requirement. <br /> <br />Case 07: Accepting And Awardin9 Bid For Animal Control Contract For 1984: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to <br />adopt Resolution 084-7 accepting and awarding the bid for the animal control <br />contract for the City of Ramsey for calendar year 1984 to White Bear Animal <br />Control, Inc. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution #84-7). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case 08: Water Treatment Proposal: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve of the water maintenance proposal submitted by Honeywell, Inc. in the <br />amount of $324.00 annually. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Schlueter and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted that a leak because of a busted valve has damaged a portion <br />of the ceiling in the lower level at City Hall. Mayor Gamec authorized <br />City Staff to go for the lowest bid and get the ceiling repaired as soon as <br />possible. <br /> <br />Case #9: Amendment To The Nuisance Ordinance: <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that the ordinance amendment, regarding storing of wood, <br />is modelled after that of Coon Rapids. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg to adopt Ordinance #84- <br />of Wood". <br /> <br />entitled "Storage <br /> <br />Motion fails for lack of a second. <br /> <br />Council consensus is that this ordinance is not necessary, any problems will <br />be addressed as they come before Council and that City Staff should not <br />destroy the proposed ordinance amendment but rather keep it on file. <br /> <br />C/January 24, 1984 <br /> <br /> <br />
