Charter Commission Activities: <br /> <br />Chairman Heitman distributed copies of a letter he has prepared to Judge <br />Sokolowski reflecting activities of the Ramsey charter Commission during 1983. <br /> <br />Commission members agreed with the contents of the letter and authorized <br />Chairman Heitman to forward the letter to Judge Sokolowski. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Case #2: Letter to the Charter Commission chairman from Mr. Arnold Cox: <br /> <br />Chairman Heitman noted receiving a letter from Mr. Arnold Cox dated February 9, <br />1984 requesting that the Charter Commission public hearing scheduled for <br />February 15, 1984 be rescheduled in order to allow the citizens at least 45 days <br />to educate themselves on this document. (See Attachment I) <br /> <br />Chairman Heitman also noted receiving a copy of Economic Development Commission <br />meeting minutes dated February 8, 1984, pages 3 and 4 of 7, in which a motion <br />was passed requesting that the Charter Commission reschedule the public hearing <br />set for February 15, 1984. <br /> <br />Case #3: Review of Charter Revision #5 For Additions, Correction and Typos: <br /> <br />Commissioners Lichter and Greenberg arrived at this time. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br /> <br />The following corrections and/or additions were agreed to by the Commission: <br /> <br />1. Chapter 7, Section 7.09, Second Sentence: "The Council shall by ordinance" <br /> rather than "The City shall by ordinance".· <br /> <br />2. Chapter 1, Section 1.01, First Sentence: Delete the phrase: "with the <br /> statutes of this State." <br /> <br />3. Chapter 1, Section 1.02, First Sentence: Add the phrase: "with the <br /> statutes of this State" to the end of the sentence. <br /> <br />4. Ail references in the charter to 'Council' or 'City Council' will be <br /> capitalized. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />5. Page 3-4/5, Second Line: change 'him' to 'same'. <br /> <br />6. Chapter 3, Section 3.06, Second Sentence: Delete the word 'City'. <br /> <br />7. Page 3-4/5, Third Line: Remove one of the references to 'in the'. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Chapter 3, Section 3.10.01, Second Line: Change the last word 'an' to <br />'and'. <br /> <br />Page 3-4/5, Fourth Line: Correct the spelling of the word 'ordinance'. <br /> <br />Chapter 3, Section 3.11, Last Sentence: Change the word 'noticed' to <br />'notice' <br /> <br />CC/February 9, 1984 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
