Motion by Commissioner Bauer, seconded by Commissioner Andrusko, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Resolution #16-10-185 - Approving Comprehensive Plan Amendment for <br />Brookfield 8th Addition. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Bauer, Andrusko, Brauer, <br />Nosan, and VanScoy. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br />Community Development Director Gladhill requested the Commission address the rezoning <br />next. <br />Motion by Commissioner Bauer, seconded by Commissioner Nosan, to recommend that City <br />Council adopt Ordinance #16-10 approving a Zoning Amendment for the Subject Property from <br />R-1 Residential (Rural Developing) to R-1 Residential (MUSA). <br />Community Development Director Gladhill requested the Commission now approve the <br />Variance to the cul-de-sac length. <br />Motion by Commissioner Bauer, seconded by Commissioner Nosan, to adopt Resolution #16-10- <br />183 - Approving Findings of Fact #0969 for Variance to Cul-De-Sac Length and Resolution #16- <br />10-184 - Approving Issuance of Variance to Cul-De-Sac Length. <br />Further discussion <br />Commissioner Brauer questioned if the public safety department had signed off on this request. <br />City Planner Anderson stated this was the case. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Bauer, Nosan, Andrusko, <br />Brauer, and VanScoy. Voting No: None. Absent: None <br />Community Development Director Gladhill asked that the Commission address the front yard <br />and side corner setback variance request. <br />Motion by Commissioner Bauer, seconded by Commissioner VanScoy, to adopt Resolution #16- <br />10-181 - Approving Findings of Fact #0968 for Variance to Front Yard and Side Corner Setback <br />and Resolution #16-10-182 - Approving Issuance of Variance to Front Yard and Side Corner <br />Setback. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Levine, Commissioners Bauer, VanScoy, Brauer, and <br />Nosan. Voting No: Andrusko. Absent: None <br />Commissioner Andrusko stated he opposed the front yard and side corner setback variances as he <br />believed a small house style could be placed on these lots in order to comply with City <br />requirements. <br />Planning Commission/October 6, 2016 <br />Page 7of13 <br />
