I
I
I
I
I
I

I
I
I
I
I
I
!
I
I
I

Voluntary on site inspection and information by the citizen with proof sent into city verifying compliance

No way want to dig holes in yard every 2 years'or pay 25.00 per
hours to do it

T~u~, th~ i~ a possibility of undetected pollution, but this
seems a poor solution to ..,hat is only a potential problem

Foy 10.00 the County will test homeowner's Water - far more
economical way to test for pollution. Why not have the city
come and take a sample every 2 years?

Inspection and mandatory pumping every 2 years does not guarantee
continued safe operation of the system and will do nothing but
fatten the city's coffers

Maintenance of the individual home is the obligation of the
homeowner, not the city and if they fail to do so it is
going to be costly to them, not the city

The city can, at best, provide accurate information to the citizens
and let the chips fall where they may

...be more in favor of an enforced pumping every 24 months rather
than an expensive insl, ection program. ~/ith the inspection
program, I will be paying not only for the most of the regular
maintenance, but additionally I will be subsidizing the inpsecttion
process for those who choose to neglect their own sewage systems

An ordinance which would require pumping every 24 months .~ith
certification from a licensed pumper as to the adequacy of the
individual system would be less expensive and more beneficial
than a bureaucratic inspection proces:

I don't support this program

I would not object to door to door vJs~tation by the bu]lding
official to question the homeowner's a~ility to service the
system, and take appropriate measures in the even% of code
violations, pollution, etc.

...some merits to this ordinance - the secure feeling which comes
from knowing your septic system is in good ooeration
