Mr. Peter R. Raatikka ~,~.
City of Ramsey ~. ..... ~;~/ '
15153 Northwest Northern Blvd.
Anoka, Mi nnesota 55303

RE:Environmental Assessment Worksheet
Flintwood Hills 2nd Addition
Metropolitan Council Referral File No. 11988-1

Dear Mr. Raatikka: ·

At its meeting March 22, 1984, the Metropolitan Council considered the
Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the Flintwood Hills 2nd Addition.
The site is within the City's service and the land
project
planned
sewer
area,
use is consistent with the local Comprehensive Plan. Locally constructed
sewers will connect to an extension of service from the Metropolitan Waste
Control Conmni ssi on (MWCC) treatment plant in Anoka. This extension is
contained in the Council's Water Resource Management Development Guide and the
approved 1982-.86 MWCC Development Program. The MWCC,.however, will not extend
regional facilities until the City approves construction of the local
facility. Therefore, the City will need to coordinate with the MWCC on the
timing of construction.

This EAW appears to be accurate and complete in its information. No
environmental impact statement is warranted insofar as regional plans and
policies are concerned.

Attached is a copy of a letter from the Anoka County Soil and Water
Conservation District con~nenting on this EAW

Si ncerely,

Chair

m
m
m

~I:sb

cc: Lloyd Schnell, Administrator, City of Ramsey Tom Rulland, Mgr., Environmental Review Section
Louis J.
