2.02: Oath of Office for New Commission Members <br />Mayor Strommen stated that there are a number of new Commission members that will be <br />joining the Park and Planning Commissions. She introduced Brandon Sis, who will be joining <br />the Park and Recreation Commission; Bruce Anderson, who will be joining the Planning <br />Commission; Patrick Surma, who will be joining the Planning Commission; and also recognized <br />Russell Bayer, who was unable to attend but will be joining the Park and Recreation <br />Commission. <br />City Attorney Langel administered the Oath of Office to the new Commissioners Bruce <br />Anderson, Patrick Surma, and Brandon Sis. <br />Mayor Strommen welcomed the new Commission members and thanked them for volunteering <br />their time and efforts to contributing to the City Commissions. <br />2.03: Proclamation Declaring October as National Community Planning Month <br />Mayor Strommen read aloud the Proclamation declaring October as National Community <br />Planning month. <br />2.04: Highway 10 Update <br />City Administrator Ulrich noted that a written update was provided by Elwyn Tinklenberg and <br />read a summary of that update. He noted that staff met with Senator Abeler at a legislative <br />breakfast this morning and stated that both presidential candidates have pledged funds to <br />infrastructure. <br />3. CITIZEN INPUT <br />Gary VanScoy, 5851 - 147th Lane NW, stated that he was amazed at the resurfacing of Sunwood, <br />which was done quickly and done well. <br />Mayor Strommen stated that it is not often that the City receives positive feedback, especially <br />regarding road projects, and thanked Mr. VanScoy for his comments. <br />4. CONSENT AGENDA <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Riley, to approve the following <br />items on the Consent Agenda: <br />4.01: Receive Cash and Investments for Period Ending September 30, 2016 <br />4.02: Approve the Following Meting Minutes: <br />1) City Council Work Session dated September 27, 2016 <br />2) City Council Regular dated September 27, 2016 <br />4.03: Approve JPA Authorizing Anoka County to Utilize City Trail Easement <br />4.04: Approval of Tuition Reimbursement <br />City Council / October 11, 2016 <br />Page 3 of 10 <br />
