The results <br />of the groundwater quality tests will be submitted to the County and <br />the MPCA. <br /> <br /> 4. Methane Gas Monitoring Program <br /> <br />! <br />m <br /> <br /> The Anoka Sanitary Landfill site presently has a system of ~ethane <br />n~nitoring probes and an active system for removing and flaring off <br />excess landfill gas. Ouring the ~closure and] post-closure period, <br /> <br />m <br /> <br />these systems will continue to be used. <br /> <br /> The methane gas ~nitoring probes will be tested [on a bi-weekly] <br /> <br />m <br />m <br /> <br />basis. These probes are located along the west and north property <br />lines. The gas testing data will be submitted to the Oepartment with <br />the semi-annual inspection report. If the Department feels that the <br /> <br />m <br />m <br />m. <br /> <br />results of the ~nitoring reflect the necessity for ~w~re frequent <br />monitoring, then changes will be mde in the program. <br /> <br /> The active methane collection system will be operated during the <br />post closure period.
