!I

i 6. Air Pollution: No pollution of air by flyash
~ust( 'smoker vapors or other substance sha~l be
' [] ~erm~tted which is harmful to healthf animals
%egetation or other property. [170.016F Perfor-
i mance Standards].

I
I
i

32. Air pollution associated with fly ash, dust, smoke,
vapors and other substances from the landfill can be controlled
through any one of the following methods: (i) proper development
of roads, (ii) watering of landfill roads, (iii) use of vege-
tation in completed areas of the landfill, and (iv) the use of

I
I
I

gas venting and control systems. The proposed environmental
improvement in the North 80 and the expansion in the South 70
will utilize all of the above methods in preventing and minimiz-
ing air pollution.

Measures proposed by Waste Management to reduce air pol-

I
I
I

lution from flyash, dust, smoke vapors and other substances will
not reduce such pollution to acceptable levels. Air pollution
from the operation of the landfill would be incompatible with
nearby land uses and would interfere with the use and enjoyment
of nearby properties.

i
7. Glare: Li~htin9 devices which produce
I able direct or reflected glare on
Properties or thoroughfares not be
[170.016F Performance Standards].

ob~ection-
aajoining

permitted.

33.

Any lighting devices used at the buildings or the

property will be screened from objectionable direct or reflected
glare on adjoining properties through vegetation or other de-
vices.
