I I I I I I I I I i I I I I I I I I I ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICE CONTRACT THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered Into thts 1st day of January, 1985, by and between WHITE BEAR ANIMAL CONTROL, iNC., a Minnesota corporation, hereinafter referred to as "WBA¢', and the CiTY OF RAMSEY, a municipal corporation, Anoka County, Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as "CITY/TOWN'. WITNESSETH: That WBAC, In consideration of the covenants and agreements of CITY/TOWN hereinafter contained, hereby covenants with CITY/TOWN that WBAC wtll provide Animal Control Service to CITY/TOWN pursuant to the following provisions: That WBAC shall provide pick up service of animals in CITY/TOWN in a vehicle appropriate for the transportation of small animals. Regular patrol service shall be provided Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.t.o 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, Sunday and holidays, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Standby emergency service shall be provided on a twenty-four (24) hour basis at the specific request of CITY/TOWN's law enforcement agency. That WBAC shall provide regular patrol service during the hours designated by CITY/TOWN'S law enforcement agency. The cost of regular patrol service shall be $15.75 per hour from January 1, 1985 to December 31, 1985, and $16.55 per hour from january 1, 1986 to December 31, 1986. The cost of standby emergency service shall be $15.75 per hour, minimum two (2) hour charge, from january 1, 1985 to December 31, 1985, and $16.55 per hour, minimum two (2) hour charge, from January 1, 1986 to December 31, 1986. That patrolling shall be performed by competant WBAC personnel trained in the handling of animals. That such personnel shall be subject to approval by CITY/TOWN at CITY/TOWN's request. That WBAC shall equip, service and maintain all vehicles used for Animal Control Service with two-way radios or other communication equipment. Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 35.71 WBAC shall impound all animals picked up in CITY/TOWN at its Animal Shelter located at 1283 Hammond Road, Town of White Bear (Township), Minnesota. Said animal shall be confined in a humane manner for a period of not less than five (5) business days or until claili~ed by an owner.
