Reviewal of proposed candidates for new additional.officer): ~he following is hereby submitted for your review and oonsideration: a) Acceptance of resignation from Officer Michael Eason - Enclosure (D2-a) oontains Officer Eason's letter of resignation from the Ramsey Police Department effective December 15, 1984. O~uncil Action: Your action will be to accept Mr. Eason's resig- nation. ~he following proposed motion is hereby submitted for your consideration: ~ ~//~ Motion by and seconded by to accept Officer Michael'E~s'on"s letter of resignation dated November 29, 1984 from the Ramsey Police Department effective December 15, 1984. Motion carried. Voting yes Voting no b) Approving of hiring replacement officer - The Chief of Police is reoo~nending that the Council oonsider Mr. Jeffrey Arneson to replace Officer Eason. 9he replacement of Officer Eason is very crucial due to the ntm~ber of officers we have here in Ramsey on our force. 7he Chief will be present to discuss this with the Council. Enclosure (D2-b) contains the following documents: i) M~mo from Chief of Police to City Administrator re- garding Mr. Arneson's qualifications (I concur with the Chief in that Mr. Arneson not only has a lot of experience, but also has received some excellent training in police work). 2) Proposed resolution hiring replacament officer to re- place Mr. Michael Eason.
