CASE ~3'- <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the Council Personnel <br />Committee's above request. The following proposed moron is hereby submitted <br />for your consideration: <br /> <br /> of the Council adjourning the regular Council meeting of March 27. 1984 at <br /> p.m. for the purpose of opening a closed session of the City Council to <br /> ~lis~uss wage negotiations between the City of Ramsey and the Police Bargaining <br /> Unit in accordance with State Statute 471.705. <br /> <br />Motion carried. POPULATION PROJECTIONS FOR CITIES IN THE <br /> <br />SEVEN-COUNTY METRO AREAl B. SMALL BUSINESS TAX CREDIT; C. ANOKA <br />COUNTY'S LETTER REGARDING LIMITATION ON DEVELOPMENT IN BUFFER <br />AREA INVENTORY SITE ~P"; D. MEET YOUR LEGISLATOR; E. FERRY-MAIN <br /> <br />STREET IMPROVEMENT AND AFFECT ON RAMSEY): <br /> <br /> a) Population projections for cities in the Seven-County Metro Area - Enclosure <br />(D3-c) contains an article from the Minneapolis Star and Tribune on population <br />projections out to year Z000 which I think Council would be quite interested in <br />reviewing. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to note that you have received the article. <br /> <br /> b) Small Business Tax Credit - Enclosure (D3-d) contains a copy of proposed <br />tax legislation for the small business. Accordingly, I have had our Assessor run <br />a comparison on this proposed legislation in regards to how it compares to the <br />present laws. Please refer to the above enclosure for the comparison chart. <br /> <br />Council Acti~: No action is required, as this is only for informational purposes. <br /> <br /> c) Anoka County's letter dated March 19, 1984 regarding limitation on <br />development in buffer area inventory Site "P" - Enclosure (D3-e) contains the <br />above letter which states the process that has to be accomplished to locate an <br />industry in the buffer area of inventory Site "P". <br /> <br />Council Action: No action is required, as this is provided for informational purposes <br />only. However, Council should note that you have reviewed the above document. <br /> <br /> d) Meet Your Legislator - The City has been involved with Meet Your Legislator <br />during the legislative session. Accordingly, our Representative Ernie Larsen is <br />available every Friday morning at 7:30 a.m. at the McGregor's Restaurant. This <br />is an excellent time to get an up-date on what is happening to legislative bills. <br /> <br /> e) Ferry-Main Street improvement and affect on Ramsey - Mayor Gamec <br />will address this issue. <br /> <br />CASE ~4: REIMBURSEMENT FOR DESTRUCTION OF POCKET GOPHERS: <br /> <br />Enclosure (D3-f) contains Anoka County's Resolution ~84-30 stating that they <br />will reimburse the City in the amount of $.30 for each pocket gopher destroyed. <br /> <br /> <br />
