They stated that State Aid Funds can be used only on state <br />highways or designated state aid streets or highways. County Road <br />No. 116 Industry Avenue is not a designated State Aid Highway. <br />Therefore, Ramsey cannot use its Municipal State Aid Street funds for <br />constructing the Rum River bridge. <br /> <br />I also contacted the County Engineer, Mr. Paul Ruud, to determine if <br />County Road No. 116 could be designated as a County State Aid Highway. <br />Mr. Ruud indicated it would be difficult, since the county has a <br />limited number of miles available for State Aid designation. <br /> <br />He also stated that the County is still pursuing other methods for <br />financing the Rum River bridge. <br /> <br /> <br />
