~ Bui] din9 Ins_r~ctor: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that he and Ms. Norris have reviewed the needs of the <br />Building Inspection department and applications received; the selection has <br />been narrowed down to two applicants and interviews will be scheduled. Mr. <br />Hartley stated that he is concerned that this position is filled as soon as <br />possible. <br /> <br />~he Personnel Committee directed that this case be placed on the February 25, <br />1986 Council agenda with the request that Council authorize the Personnel <br />Committee to participate in the interviewing process and hire an individual for <br />the position of Building Inspector. <br /> <br />~ T~m_~ue ~f .Wom~_n Voters: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that Kay McCulley will be on the February 25, 1986 Council <br />agenda requesting the status of the Comparable Worth study. <br /> <br />Councilmember Reimann inquired as to the status of the police overtime issue. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley replied that he conveyed the Personnel Committee's concerns to <br />Police Chief Auspos and has requested a written reply from him on the subject. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley referred to earlier discussions of Ms. Frolik's full-time status <br />and inguired if his understandin9 is correct in that he will have authority to <br />utilize Ms. Frolik's services as necessary, even up to 40 hours a week. <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Reimann stated that Mr. Hartley's understanding is correct and <br />explained his concern with the high cost of government and the way in which it <br />seems to always breed more needs. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated he shares Councilmember Reimann's concerns and that is the <br />reason he chose the profession of city administration. <br /> <br />~he Personnel Committee authorized that the part-time hourly rate increase <br />recommended for Ms. Frolik be amended from $6.00/hour to $6.72/hour. <br /> <br />~he Personnel Con~ittee meeting adjourned at 8:45 a.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully sutmitted, <br /> <br />Sylvi~ Frolik ~ <br />Secretary <br /> <br />David Hat tley <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />February 21, 1986 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
