Councilm~mber Gary ~eimann <br /> <br /> Also Present: City Administrator David Hartley <br /> Finance Officer Noel Graczyk <br /> <br /> ,I <br /> ! [] Mr. Goodrich called the meeting to order at 7:35 a.m. <br /> <br /> · Naoe O~n~i~eration.~; <br /> <br />~ . City Administrator Hartley stated that there are wage considerations for Police <br /> I Chief Auspos and part time personnel requiring Personnel C~..~,ittee review. <br /> <br /> Prior to discussing wage considerations the Personnel Co~nittee stated a need <br />" I for a policy regarding hiring relatives. <br /> <br />~ Mr. Hartley stated that he will draft a policy on hiring relatives that would <br />~ · be appropriate for Ramsey. Mr. Hartley also noted that he and Staff are in the <br />i! I process of compiling and prioritizing city projects and <br />I m ~he discussion returned to wage considerations and Mr. Hartley stated that <br />I! · Police Chief Auspos is requesting a 4.0% cost of living increase. Mr. Hartley <br />Ii m reoonmmnded that the Personnel Committee r~nain with the level of (x)mpensation <br />I/ that is being su~nitted to the bargaining Mit. <br />~/ I Finance Officer Graczyk stated that after Chief auspos receives his 1986 salary <br /> adjustment, he will be at 93% of the mean for chiefs in the metro area. <br /> <br /> . . <br /> Councilmember Reimann stated that based on the fact Chief Auspos will be at 93% <br />I of the metro mean, which is more than fair, he would be in favor of offering a <br />i': m 2.0% mst of living incre~. <br />~ ' Mr. Hartley stated that he has gotten the impression that the Personnel <br />· Committee considers the Stanton report a barometer for salaries, which it is, <br />I' I but it should not be used as a determining factor.
