TO: Mayor and Councilm~mbers <br /> <br />FROM: City Administrator <br /> <br />RE: Council Business <br /> <br />(D2-a) <br />Ibc-b) <br />De-c) <br /> <br />Information regarding uncompleted 1985 sealcoating projects <br />Information regarding (~urchill Estates bids <br />Information regarding State budget cuts relating to local govern- <br />ment aid <br /> <br />(i%SE I1: <br /> <br />1985 <br /> <br />As you may recall, last year two of the proposed sealcoating projects <br />(t85-6 and 185-12) were petitioned against by the residents and had to <br />be dropped in acoordance with the City G~arter. <br /> <br />City Staff is concerned that oontinued neglect of the maintenance of <br />the streets may cause non-repairable deterioration. Therefore, the <br />City Council may wish to reconsider these projects and conduct new <br />public hearings on th~. <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-a) contains the City Engineer's letter updating the <br />oosts for these two projects as well as the proposed resolutions for <br />your consideration and adoption. <br /> <br />Your action will be to accept the updated costs for sealcoating the <br />projects and set the public hearings for s~me time in April as well as <br />identify the benefitting property owners in these areas. The <br />following proposed motions are hereby submitted for your considera- <br />tion: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> <br />adopt Resolutions t86-._, and 186-... accepting the updated <br />costs for Sealcoating Projects t85-6 and t85-12 in 1986 and <br />calling for public hearings. <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> <br />adopt Resolutions 186-._. and #86-.._ identifying the <br />benefitting property owners for Sealcoating Projects 185-6 and <br />185-12. <br /> <br />On February 4, 1986, nine bids were received on Churchill Estates <br />site improvements (Improv~ent Project t86-2). <br /> <br /> <br />
