The City Engineer is recommending the <br />reduction of port of the landscaping it, s to bring the project cost <br />down to the budget amount. ~'nis will require approval of Change <br />Order No. ] which ts also (Dntatned in the above enclosure along with <br />the proposed resolutions for your consideration and adoption. <br /> <br />Your action will be to accept/reject the bids. The following <br />proposed motions are hereby submitted for your consideration: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> <br />adopt Resolution 186-... accepting the bid of Matt Bullock <br />Contracting Company, Inc. for a total cost not to exceed <br />$88,680.00. In addition, the contractor shall be required to <br />meet all contractual obligations of the City as laid out in the <br />specifications, tnclucling performance bond. <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> <br />reject all bids received on February 4, 1986 regarding the <br />churchill Estates site improvement project and to table this <br />subject. <br /> <br />If you accept the bids, you ~ould also approve Change Order No. 1 to <br />lower the project cost below the $80,000 budget. ~ne following <br />proposed motion is hereby su~itted for your consideration: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br /> <br />adopt Resolution #86-.... approving Change Order No. 1, which <br />would reduce the contract amount by $9,345.00 to $79,335.00. <br /> <br />Currently the Legislature is reviewing possible budget cuts which <br />will ~re than likely affect the local goverm~ent aid which the City <br />of Ramsey receives. In the past the City of Ramsey has expressed <br />concern over the gross disparities between communities receiving <br />local government aid and current action by the Legislature could <br />widen the gap of disparities. Enclosure (D2-c) contains a draft <br />resolution which would represent a policy in opposition to any act by <br />the Legislature which would cause such a deeperdng of disparity. The <br />resolution also states the City of Ramsey's position as it relates to <br />cuts affecting the local government aid in general. <br /> <br />Also enclosed is the League of Minnesota Cities' policy relating to <br />local goverr~ent aid. <br /> <br /> <br />
