REQUEST FOR COKDITIOBAL USE PERMIT TO OPEI~ATE AUTOMOBILE SALES AI~D REPAIR BUSINESS FROM IIgDUST~IAL DISTRICT; CASE OF HR, HARVEY HOOVER: By: A~ne Norris~ Co~uni~ Development Director CASE ~ 18 Background: Mr. Harvey Hoover is requesting a conditional use permit to operate an automobile sales and repair service in the I-1 Industrial District at 7105 Highway #10 NW. Automobile sales and repair are not permitted uses in the I-1 Industrial District. The Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on Mr. Hoover's request on March 19, 1986 Enclosed are the following items for your information: a) Application b) Site location map c) Proposed site plan d) Proposed findings of fact e) Proposed conditional use permit agreement Observations: Baaed on similar requests and uses in the Industrial District, Staff recommends that the request be approved, contingent upon Mr. Hoover entering into and complying with a conditional use permit agreement. In addition, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that the City Council approve Mr. Hoover's request. Rec~endation: Council A~tion: Motion to: Adopt Findings of Fact O0 for a conditional use permit. relating to Mr. Harvey Hoover's request -and- Motion to: Approve Mr. Harvey Hoover's request for a conditional use permit agreement to operate an automobile sales and repair business in the I-1 District, contingent upon Mr. Hoover entering into a conditional use permit agreement with the City.
