ROBERT COX <br /> By: Anne ]orris, Co~--unity Development Director <br /> <br />~A~E ~ 19 <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Cox is requesting a conditional use permit to operate a small <br />engine repair business from his home located at 15231 Xkimo Street NW. Mr. <br />Cox' property is approximately 1.15 acres in size. Mr. Cox has stated that <br />his small engine repair business will include the repair of small engines such <br />as lawnmowers, chain saws, outboard motors, etc. Mr. Cox has stated that <br />there will be no outdoor storage or trash in the yard. Mr. Cox is also <br />requesting that he be allowed to advertise with a 2' x 4' sign in his yard. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on Mr. Cox' <br />request on April 1, 1986. <br /> <br />Enclosed are the following items for your information: <br /> <br />a) Application <br />b) Site location map <br />c) Public hearing notice <br />d) Properties notified <br />e) Proposed findings of fact <br />f) Proposed conditional use permit agreement <br /> <br />~baervations: <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Based on recent comments and concerns regarding the enforcement of the City <br />Code regarding home occupations and conditions of premises, Staff recommended <br />denial of Mr. Cox' request. However, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />recommended approval of the request with a limitation on the duration of the <br />conditional use permit to expire January 1, 1988.
