5 Minutes CASE ~6: <br /> <br />ORDER PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FO~ <br />1986 S~LCOATING INPIIOVEKENT PRO~ECT8 <br /> By: Pete l~atikka, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />At the regular City Council meeting of l/arch 25, 1986, the Council held the <br />public hearings for the 1986 sealcoating improvement projects. As you recall <br />at the public hearing, several residents were concerned with the condition of <br />the streets in Countryside Estates and Riverwood Hills Unplatted Area. <br /> <br />Since the public hearings, Mr. Lanny Westphal has contacted me on combining an <br />unbuildable lot with his developed lot. This lot is located in the Kork's <br />Addition at 6355 - 154th Lane NW and was assessed at the time blacktopping of <br />the area was done. As shown on the City's zoning map in the reference <br />material, this lot is located in the 100 year flood plain. <br /> <br />Included in the reference material are the following for your information: <br /> <br />a) Letter from City Engineer addressing concerns of residents in Country- <br /> side Estates and Riverwood Hills Unplatted <br /> <br />b) Zoning map showing Mr. Lanny Westphal's property in l~ork's Addition <br /> <br />c) Proposed resolutions for sealcoating projects <br /> <br />I will have additional information available at the meeting concerning Mr. <br />Lanny Westphal's lot. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Since the 60 day waiting period following the public hearing has expired and no <br />valid petitions objecting the projects were submitted, I recommend that Council <br />order plans and specifications for Sealcoating Improvement Projects ~86-3, 4, <br />5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. In addition, I would recommend Council authorize <br />Mr. Westphal to combine his unbuildable lot with his developed lot as <br />requested. This lot combination would prohibit any future building on that <br />lot. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Adopt Resolutions ~86-__ through 486- .. authorizing the City <br />Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for Sealcoating Improvement <br />Projects 486-3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12. <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Authorize Mr. Launy Westphal to combine his unbuildable lot with his <br />adjacent lot. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator X <br />Attorney <br />Engineer _~_ <br />Community Development Dir. <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
