Minutes CASE ~9: By: CONSULTANT SELECTION AIRPORT COE~ISSlON Dave Hartley, City Administrator Background: In order to be eli$ible for Federal funding for airport projects, the City of Ramsay must follow certain specific steps as we develop information which would apply to any proposed project. One of those steps is that the City*s airport consultant be selected based upon qualifications and ability to perform various tasks required. The Airport Commission has gone through the process of notice, soliciting statements of qualification, and following the review of those qualifications, soliciting proposals from the professionals providing airport consulting services. Following that process, the Airport Commission has recommended that the City Council select Hakanson Anderson and Associates as its airport consultant. Included in the reference material is the proposed resolution for your adoption. Observations: Following the selection of the City's preferred airport consultant, the next step in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration's guidelines is to identify the proposed costs for those services and determine whether those proposed costs are complete and competitive. Recommendation: It is the recommendation of the Airport Commission and the City Administrator that the City Council identify Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. as its selected airport consultant. Council Action: Motion to: f.'// Adopt Resolution/986- appointing Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. as airport consultant for the City of Ramsey.
