ACTION PLAN <br /> <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />NEED: Improve appearance of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Due to a surplus of junk cars, equipment, etc., the City tends to be regarded <br />by residents and other communities as having a having s poor self-image and a <br />poor image in other communities. In order to improve these images, efforts <br />are needed to improve the appearance of Ramsey. <br /> <br />ACTION TEAM: <br /> <br />Primary Coordinator: Anne Norris, Community Development Director <br />Secondary Coordinator: Mike Auspos, Chief of Police <br /> <br />Bill Goodrich <br />Dave l{artley <br /> <br />Economic Development Commission Member <br />Planning and Zoning Commission Member <br />City Council Member <br />Building Official <br />City Attorney <br />City Administrator <br />Citizens (2) <br /> <br />OBJECTIVES: <br /> <br />l) Identify what is creating image/appearance problems <br /> <br />2) Identify what, if any, City regulations apply to those problems <br /> <br />3) Identify where in City (urban area, city-wide, etc.) controls will <br /> apply <br /> <br />4) Identify to what extent controls should be enforced <br /> <br />5) Identify what department is responsible for enforcement <br /> <br />6) Establish/modify appropriate City controls to regulate appearance <br /> problems <br /> <br />ACTION: The team should meet and prepare a position paper using as much <br />public input as practical. The position paper should be presented to the <br />overall goal setting team and the City Council within the next six months. <br /> <br />RESOURCES: <br /> <br />1) City Code regarding condition of premises, nuisances <br /> <br />2) Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br />3) Public input <br /> <br /> <br />
