Mr. Wirz stated that he doesn't see anything in his records to justify such a
sharp increase.

Elinor Deemer - 5655 149th Lane - ~R23-32-25-44-0014 - Stated that her home
is a new construction and she is not residing in the house yet. As of January
2 all that was on the one parcel was the house frame; The valuation states
that the parcel containing the house is valued at $30,400 and the other two
parcels are valued et $1400 and $1500.

Mr. Wirz stated that the value of the lot containing the house was increased to
$7,000 because of the structure on it; the house is being assessed at 501
complete.

Ms. Deemer accepted Mr. ~irz's explanation.

COUNCIL

Jan Hanson - R14-32-25-34-0011:

Councilmember Sorteberg stated that he agrees with Mr. ~irz in that market
valuations must be computed on a price/square foot rate and not by purchase
prices.

Councilmember Cox stated that market values are down but the County is not
making adjustments accordingly.

Council consensus was to make no adjustment to Mr. Hanson's valuation.

Case ~2: Willard Pohlmau - R17-32-25-43-0025:

Notion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to reduce
Mr. Pohlman's property valuation to $102,000 in light of the market value of
the pool addition.

Further Discussion: Councilmember Sorteberg stated that if the building cost
$23,845 and Mr. Wirz assessed it at $31,600; then the amount of the reduction
to the property valuation should be 1/2 of the discrepancy between the two
figures.

Notion carried, Voting Yes: Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and Schlueter.
Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Heitman and Councilmember Reimann.

Case ~3.' Pebra Johnson - Rl1-32-25-42-0012:

Councilmember Sorteberg stated that if Ns. Johnson has lost the use of her
basement due to water damage, Mr. Wirz will make an adjustment to the
valuation.

Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Schlueter
directing Mr. Wirz to review the Debts Johnson property again.

Notion carried.
