Motion by Councilmenber Reimann and seconded by ¢ouncilmember Cox, for <br />discussion, to adopt Resolution 486- 64 allowing Mr. Kummala's expansion of the <br />Iron Works Gym facility. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution 486- <br /> <br />Purther Discussion: Counc ilmember Cox disagreed with Item 1.s of the <br />resolution requiring Mr. ~ummala to plat any additional land that Bay be needed <br />for the facility. <br /> <br />Amendment by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to amend <br />Item 41.a of the resolution to read as follows: *That any additional land Mr. <br />Kummala may need for the expansion be subdivided in accordance with City Code <br />requirements before the City issues any building permits for the expansion;' <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mike [opiecki vas present representing Mr. Kummala and <br />stated that the expansion hinges on sanitary sever and water becoming available <br />and if so, how it viii be funded. Mayor Reitman stated that sanitary sewer and <br />water to the industrial area viii be discussed at the April 29 special Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Amendment carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers $orteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and 5chlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Approval Of Critical Rivers Recreational Trail Corridor: <br /> <br />Ns. Norris stated that Council adopted the Environmental Protection Ordinance <br />in 1985 and part of that ordinance requires the City to designate a <br />recreational trail corridor along the Mississippi River. Designation of this <br />trail corridor does not require construction of the trail; it insures the trail <br />right-of-way will be required and acquired as the property along the river <br />develops. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Mayor Heitman to approve the <br />Critical Rivers recreational trail corridor and an alternate route to be used <br />if problems occur. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox stated that this requirement is another <br />example of Metro Agencies using Ramsay as a playground. <br /> <br />Notion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Schlueter. Voting No: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />Request For Access From 138th Avenue NW: Case Of Mr. Ed Hamilton <br /> <br />Mr. Hamilton stated that he would like to build a home on his property directly <br />east of Riverside West; he would rather access the property from 138th Avenue <br />rather than Hwy. 10. <br /> <br />April 22, 1986 <br /> <br />Page 10 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
