Request for Quotation <br /> Civil Engineering <br /> Scope of Services <br /> Project: 'Lake Ramsey Commons' Schematic Design <br /> Client: City of Ramsey <br /> Primary Consultant: Bruce Jacobson (Project Number: BJLArch 16-0121) <br /> (DRAFT)Civil Engineer Scope <br /> (General Description outlined in Bruce Jacobson Project Proposal dated 8/8/2016) <br /> The selected Civil Engineer(under separate contract and detailed Scope of Services) will be responsible <br /> for translating all studies, plans, sections and other preliminary design drawings described above into <br /> Schematic Design, construction document format including the following; <br /> + Preliminary and Final Layout/ Dimension Plan <br /> + Preliminary and Final Grading/ Drainage Plan (with stormwater management components) <br /> + Preliminary and Final Utility/ Infrastructure Plan (as needed) <br /> + Design Details (as needed) <br /> Specifics of the drawing set including confirmation of percentage level of completion to meet project <br /> review, approvals and permitting requirements will be determined by City Staff as part of this process. <br /> Overview of Potential Civil Engineering Services <br /> Construction documents and additional information to be provided by a combination of the City of <br /> Ramsey Engineering Department and the Consulting Civil Engineer selected for this project could include <br /> the following: <br /> A. Schematic Design <br /> 1. Prepare a topographic background drawing using current/existing topographic data files. <br /> 2. Draw in ACAD the current conceptual site plan layout per direction from Owner and Landscape <br /> Architect. <br /> 3. Establish preliminary civil design intent for all site improvements including stormwater management, <br /> surface improvements, erosion control and other project elements. <br /> 4. Review potential site constraints, submittal process requirements (what and who), and other project <br /> requirements with Owner and Landscape Architect. <br /> 5. Attend meetings with Owner, Landscape Architect and applicable agencies as needed. <br /> B. Design Documentation <br /> 1. Review available geotechnical data with a focus on foundation requirements (if needed) and <br /> stormwater management infiltration information. <br /> 2. Coordinate further design refinements with Owner and Landscape Architect for site layout and <br /> stormwater management components. <br /> 3. Prepare civil construction drawings (%completion to be determined) to include site grading plan, <br /> surface drainage/stormwater management plan, erosion control and site details, pavement sections (as <br /> needed), site utilities plan, and other design elements. <br /> 4. Submit civil engineering plans and preliminary cost estimate for Owner and Landscape Architect <br /> review. <br />
