Minutes CASE <br /> <br />By: <br /> <br /> REQUEST FOR ~EZONINC FROM UB URBAN <br /> BUSINESS TO UR URBAN RESIDENTIAL; <br /> CASE OF RIVER'S BEND PROPERTIES <br />Anne Norris, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />River's Bend Properties is requesting a rezoning for the 4-1/2 acres located <br />southwest of Blocks 7 and 8 of the existing River's Bend plat. The property is <br />presently zoned UB Urban Business and the applicant is requesting rezoning to <br />UR Urban Residential. This property is proposed to be platted into twelve <br />single family residential lots if the parcel is rezoned for residential <br />development. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on the proposed <br />rezoning on June 17, 1986 and recommended approval of the rezoning request. <br /> <br />The Department of Natural Resources has reviewed this request and has no <br />objections to the rezoning. <br /> <br />Included in the reference material are the following items for your information: <br /> <br />a) Site location map <br />b) Public hearing notice <br />c) Properties notified <br />d) Proposed Ordinance rezoning the subject property <br /> <br />Observations: <br /> <br />As the subject property is adjacent to the existing River's Bend plat which is <br />also zoned Urban Residential, Staff recommends approval of the rezoning <br />request. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />Approve the request by River's Bend Properties for rezoning from Urban <br />Business to Urban Residential and ntroduce Ordinance ~86-__ rezoning <br />the subject property. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer X <br />Community Development Dir.
