flUl, fl'lAR¥ OF IL,~$EY ZONING ORDINANCE CHAPTER 170.01 OF THE P, AI~SE'~ CI'l~ CODE 170.011 ~ASIC PROVISIONS I70.011A ~ Ramsey Zoning Ordinance. 170.OllB PURPOSE To provide zoning provisions and map in accordance with Comprehensive Plan. 170.011C I/ELATIO~ TO COHPREHENSIVE PLAN Enforcement and administration of this ordinance will be in accordance with the Comprehensive Plan adopted to regulate land use and development. I?0.OllD RULES Includes interpretation of certain language terms contained in this ordinance. 170.012 ~ Contains definitions of attain connnonly referred to terms in the ordinance. 170.013 ADHI~I STRATION 170.013A ~ONING OFFICER Zoning Officer is appointed by Council to administer and enforce the ordinances issue building permits and maintain zoning application file. 170.013B PLANNING COMMISSION Planning Commission consists of 7 voting m~ers appointed by City Council to 4 year terms and serves as an advisory board to Council. 170.013C ZONING AMENDMENTS Zoning amendments may be initiated by a petition fro~ a member of City Council, Plaunin§ Conmission or property owner; are subject to a public hearing; and all costs incurred in the processing of it are the responsibility of the applicant. Council shall take action within 45 days of the public hearing and passage requires a 4/5 vote of Council. 170.013D ~01~DITI01~AL USE PERHITS A conditional use permit provides the City the discretion to allow a non- permitted use in any particular zone. Applications are filed ~ith the Zoning Officer; subjected to Planning Commission for public hearing and recommendation to City Council within 30 days of hearing; subjected to Council for review, adoption of findings of fact and action within 30 days after receipt of reco~endation fr~n Planning C~ission. All costs incurred in processing the application are the responsibility of the applicant.
