Within Four een (14) days, the Contractor must <br /> submit this proposal or notify the Architect, in writing, of the date on w ich proposal submission is anticipated. <br /> THIS IS NOT A CHANGE ORDER, CONSTRUCTION DIRECTIVE OR A DI ECTION TO PROCEED WITH THE WORK <br /> DESCRIBED IN THE PROPOSED MODIFICATIONS. <br /> Description: <br /> Without the ability to transplant trees that have already been remo ed, acceptable options would be the <br /> following: <br /> 1. Remove the (8) small trees that were never approved. Install (15) 4" caliper trees. <br /> 2. Leave the trees and provide a reasonable price difference for (15) trees at the proper size. <br /> (15 x 4 = 60 per bid documents, 8 x 2 = 16 per installed. That ans the value of what's installed is at most <br /> 25% of what was bid.) <br /> 3. Leave the trees and have the City hire a local company to the sod. Deduct an amount equivalent to the <br /> missing caliper inches of trees from Brennan's contract.
