<br /> <br />8.That the Applicant initially requested a Conditional Use Permit to allow for construction <br />of a fifty (50) foot by eighty (80) foot, or 4,000 square foot detached accessory structure. <br /> <br /> <br />9.That the Applicant worked with staff to arrive at a more reasonable request that would <br />balance their needs with the concerns of the city. <br /> <br /> <br />10.That the intended use of the building is to provide storage for the following items: a thirty- <br />three (33) foot motor home, lawn care equipment, snowmobiles, a snow blower, 4- <br />wheelers, bicycles and other sporting equipment, and future vehicles. And that with the <br />exception of the motor home all other items are currently being stored in the existing <br />accessory buildings. <br /> <br /> <br />11.That the Applicant had applied for a variance to allow a mean gable height of eighteen (18) <br />feet, which was tabled by the Planning Commission, who directed the Applicant to work <br />with staff to arrive upon an alternative building design that meets their storage needs while <br />complying with City Code. <br /> <br /> <br />12.That based on the request for an oversized, detached accessory building, the Applicant shall <br />be required to install a driveway, compliant with the standards in City Code Section 117- <br />111, to access the detached accessory building. <br /> <br /> <br />13.That the detached accessory building will comply with all applicable setbacks. <br /> <br /> <br />14.That the proposed use will not be unduly dangerous or otherwise detrimental to persons <br />residing or working in the vicinity of the use or to the public welfare. <br /> <br /> <br />15.That the proposed use will not substantially adversely impair the use, enjoyment, or market <br />value of any surrounding property. <br /> <br /> <br />16.That the proposed use will be designed, constructed, operated, and maintained so as to be <br />harmonious and appropriate in appearance with the existing or intended character of the <br />general vicinity and whether such a use will not change the essential character of that area. <br /> <br /> <br />17.That the proposed use will not be hazardous or disturbing to existing neighboring uses. <br /> <br /> <br />18.That the proposed use will be served adequately by public facilities and services such as <br />highways and streets. <br /> <br /> <br />19.That the proposed use will not create excessive additional requirements at public cost for <br />public facilities and services <br /> <br /> <br />20.That the proposed use will not be detrimental to the economic welfare of the community. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #16-08-153 <br />Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br />
