APPROVE AHI~L CONTROL CONTRACT <br /> Dave Rartley, City Aduinistrator <br /> <br />Background~ <br /> <br />Earlier this year, White Bear Animal Control, with who~ the City of Ramsey <br />contracts for animal control) changed names and ownership. The ney owner is <br />the son of the past owner of White Bear Animal Control and the new name is now <br />Lake Animal Care, Inc. <br /> <br />After being notified of this name and ownership change, City Attorney Goodrich <br />recommended that we enter into a separate contract with the new owner and <br />corporation at the same terms and conditions that were specified in the <br />agreement with White Bear Animal Control. <br /> <br />Police Chief Auspos and myself have reviewed the performance of the past and <br />present corporation and are satisfied that Lake Animal Care will continue to <br />provide the expected level of service. <br /> <br />Enclosed for your information is the proposed contract between the City of <br />Ramsey and Lake Animal Care, Inc. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Council authorize the Hayor and City <br />Administrator to enter into a contract with Lake Animal Care, Inc. <br /> <br />Council iktion: <br /> <br />Notion to: <br />Authorize the Nayor and City Administrator to enter into an agreement <br />between the City of Ramsey and Lake Animal Care, Inc. for animal control. <br /> <br />Review Checklist: <br /> <br />Administrator <br />Attorney <br />Engineer <br />Community Development Director <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />Public Works Superintendent <br />Other <br /> <br /> <br />
