ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICE CONTRACT <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 1st day of April~, <br />1986, by and between LAKE ANIMAL CARE, INC., a Minnesota corporation, <br />hereinafter referred to as "LAKE", and the CITY OF RAMSEY, a municipal <br />corporation, Anoka County, Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as <br />"CITY/TOWN" . <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: That LAKE, in consideration of the covenants and <br />agreements of CITY/TOWN hereinafter contained, hereby covenants with <br />CITY/TOWN that LAKE will provide Animal Control Service to CITY/TOWN <br />pursuant to the following provisions: <br /> <br />That LAKE shall provide pick up service of <br />animals in CITY/TOWN in a vehicle appropriate for <br />the transportation of ~all animals. Regular <br />patrol service shall be provided Monday through <br />Friday, 08:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m., and Saturday, <br />Sunday and holidays, 08:00 to 12:00 noon. <br />Standby emergency service shall be provided on a <br />twenty-four (24) hour basis at the specific <br />request of CITY/TOWN's law enforcement agency. <br /> <br />That LAKE shall provide regular patrol service <br />during the hours designated by CITY/TOWN's law <br />enforcement agency. The cost of regular patrol <br />service shall be $16.55 per hour from April 1, <br />1986 to December 31, 1986,. The cost of standby <br />emergency service shall be $16.55 per hour, <br />minimum two (2) hour charge, from Apeil 1, 1986 <br />to December 31, 1986. <br /> <br />That patrolling shall be performed by competent <br />LAKE personnel trained in the handling of <br />animals. That such personnel shall be subject to <br />approval by CITY/TOWN at CITY/TOWN's request. <br /> <br />That LAKE shall equip, service and maintain all <br />vehicles used for Animal Control Service with <br />two-way radios or other communication equipment. <br /> <br />Pursuant to Minnesota Statute 35.71 LkKE shall <br />impound all animals picked up in CITY/TOWN at its <br />Animal Shelter located at 10911 Raddison Road, <br />Blaine, Minnesota. Said animal shall be confined <br />in a humane manner for a period of not less than <br />five (5) business days or until claimed by an <br />owner. Animals not claimed before the expiration <br />of five (5) business days shall become the <br />property of LAKE. If an animal is not so <br />claimed, LAKE may dispose of said animal in a <br />humane manner, pursuant to Minnesota Statute <br />Section 35.71, Subd. 3. <br /> <br /> <br />
