Hr. Rick~au inquired as to why the City let hi~ put up a metal building and <br />noted that it is the nicest looking building on the lot. <br /> <br />Chairman Paterson stated that State Building Code also requires adequate toilet <br />facilities; if Nr. Bick~an*a existing facilities are adequate, the Co~issiov <br />will not require additional toilet facilities. <br /> <br />Co~missioner Zi-,-er~an noted that the State Building Inspecto~ has the final <br />word on aequacy of toilet facilities. <br /> <br />Chairman Paterson stated that the connection between the new and existing <br />building was done without a building per. it. <br /> <br />Ns. Norris replied that it was agreed between Nr. ~irz and Hr. Hick~an that the <br />connection was a part of the building per, it on the ney structure. <br /> <br />Conmissioner Bendriksen suggested that it might be necessary to conduct a <br />special meeting with Hr. Rick~nan to resolve so~e of these proble~ns. <br /> <br />Co~n~issioner Howell stated that a couple of m~,hers of the ~cono~ic Development <br />Co~ission should also york on this case. <br /> <br />Hr. Hick~an stated that he is willin/ to work with the City but he does not <br />want to change the image of his business. <br /> <br />Commissioners Zimnerman and Hendriksen stated that they like P.~. ~ichnan's <br />business; the intent ia not to change the business i~a~e; providing a <br />designated parking area is a s~all concession to make. The City is looking for <br />a sign of good faith that Hr. Hick~an is willing to resolve ao~e of these <br />issues by providing a professionally prepared site plan; the Commission will be <br />glad to ,eet with Hr. Hickman to work these issues out. <br /> <br />Notion by Co~missioner Zi~mer~an and seconded by Conmissioner Dee~er that in <br />lieu of the amount of time already expended discussing this case and other <br />persons waiting to have their cases addressed, to direct that discussions <br />regarding Plants and Things close and to request that Hr. ~ick~nan provide the <br />city with a registered lot survey and site plan within 90 days (regular October <br />meeting of the Planning and Zoning Conmission). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Hr. Hick~an inquired about his 'Green Acres' <br />classification. Chairman Paterson stated that *Green Acres' classification <br />will have to be determined by the City Assessor. lit.
