David Rartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />Since the resignation of Kathleen Johnson as Accountin~ Clerk I, the Personnel <br />Committee and Staff have been searching to fill that vacancy. At one point an <br />offer was extended to a candidate who then declined to accept our offer. <br />Following that we reviewed the re~naining applicants and concluded that further <br />search would likely be necessary and requested authorization of the City <br />Councll to fill the vacancy temporarily in order to complete that search. The <br />person that filled that vacancy on a temporary basis is Janice Bye who is <br />planning to attend school this fall to complete her four year degree in <br />Accounting. Jan is a Ramsay resident and has expressed an interest in the <br />full-time position. We've been very pleased with the performance and work <br />product which has been presented by Jan. <br /> <br />The Personnel Committee has reviewed the recommendations of Noel Graczyk, <br />Finance Officer, and myself. Additionally, the Personnel Committee has <br />personally interviewed Jan and forwards the following recommendation to the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />Enclosed is Jan's resume for your information. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />It is the recommendation of Noel Craczyk, myself, and the Personnel Committee <br />that Jan Bye be placed on the regular full-time status as Accounting Clerk I <br />and that Jan's six month probationary period start on July 15, 1986. It is <br />further recommended that the following pay scale be implemented: <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />Notion to: <br />Place Nrs.
