Motion by Councihnember Cook, second by Councilmember Elvig, to approve the <br />Comprehensive Sewer Plan and the Comprehensive Water Supply Plan. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Strommen clarified this sewer plan outlines how things <br />may be laid out in the future, it is not actually being adopted for action. Councilmember Kurak <br />asked if this is the completion of the sewer plan that the City was mandated to complete. <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson replied the work that was mandated through the MPCA is <br />the Comprehensive Stormwater Plan, which is not part of this. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cook, Elvig, Kurak, Pearson, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Elvig indicated a time should be set to move this forward. <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson replied this will be a public document and posted at City <br />Hall. He requested direction from the Council to include information regarding rates and fees on <br />the agenda of the next Finance Committee meeting. <br /> <br />The consensus of the Council was to direct staff to include a case regarding rates and fees on the <br />agenda of the next Finance Committee meeting. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Councilmember Strommen noted this was one of the tools in the planning <br />process. She suggested this be discussed at a worksession. Councilmember Elvig commented <br />this was part of the information he felt was so necessary prior to receiving public input on the <br />Comprehensive Plan amendment. Assistant Public Works Director Olson indicated the plan will <br />be submitted to the Met Council. Any changes requested by the Met Council will be brought <br />back before the Council. Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon explained staff <br />anticipates holding a public meeting in mid September. Assistant City Administrator Nelson <br />noted a tentative date has been discussed of Monday, September 20, 2004. <br /> <br />Case #7: Consider Approval of Comprehensive Water Supply Plan <br /> <br />Acted on under Case #6. <br /> <br />Case #8: Accept Parking and Transit Anaylsis <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson reviewed that LSA Design presented the Council with the <br />Parking and Transit Analysis at the worksession prior to this meeting. Staff recommends the <br />Council accept the Transit and Parking Demand Study. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to accept the Transit <br />and Parking Demand Study fi'om LSA Design. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
