II~ORMATION IT.S <br />By: Anne Norris, Connunity Development Director <br /> <br />l) On September 30, 1986 the City Council again discussed revocation of Mr. <br />Root's conditional use permit for operating an automobile sales and repair <br />service at 14600 Nowthen Blvd. Based on a recommendation from the City <br />Attorney, the City Council tabled this until October 28 at which time they rill <br />adopt findings in support of revoking that permit. <br /> <br />2) On September 30, 1986 the City Council granted preliminary plat approval of <br />Stanhope River Hills as recommended by the Planning Commission. In addition, <br />the Council approved acquiring the outlot on the river for future park <br />development. <br /> <br />3) The City Council tabled preliminary plat approval of Autumn Meadows based <br />on concerns regarding additional access to the plat. The Council recommended <br />that Mr. Johnson work with his neighbors to acquire a public easement either to <br />Cry. Rd. ~83 or to the north to serve as an emergency access to these <br />properties. <br /> <br />4) The City Council tabled Mr. Leininger's request for rezoning from R-1 <br />Residential to B-1 Business until Mr. Leininger has a more specific proposal <br />regarding the use for that property. <br /> <br />5) The City Council rejected the bids for the extension of sewer and water <br />improvements to the City's industrial area aa those bids exceeded the <br />Engineer's estimates by approximately 39%. The City Council ordered a <br />feasibility report on a new project for the extension of utilities to the <br />industrial area. The new project will be designed to reduce costs and provide <br />a similar level of service to that in the original improvement project. The <br />Council acheduled a public hearing on this project for 7:30 p.m. on Monday, <br />October 20, 1986. <br /> <br />6) On September 30, 1986 the City Council authorized the Mayor and City <br />'Administrator to enter into an agreement with ltakanson/Anderson Associates for <br />engineering aervices, preparation of an environmental impact assessment report, <br />preparation of a preapplication and preparation of a land acquisition program <br />for the proposed airport project. In addition, the City Council directed staff <br />to prepare a resolution, for their consideration, to proceed with efforts to <br />investigate the feasibility of improvements to the Gateway North Industrial <br />Airport. <br /> <br />7) On September 30, the City Council received a proposal from Iron Works <br />Development Corporation for the construction of an incubator facility with City <br />assistance. The Council directed Dave Rartley and Anne ~orris of City staff <br />and Councilmember DeLuca to work with Paul Fournier and Curt Kummala on this <br />proposal. <br /> <br />8) The Metropolitan Council will be conducting a public hearing on Waste <br />Management of Minnesota's request for a certificate of need for vertical <br />expansion of the existing landfill. The hearing is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., <br />Wednesday, October 8, 1986 at the Ramsey Elementary School, 15000 Nowthen <br />Boulevard N.W. <br /> <br /> <br />
