shall be released to the applicant. <br /> <br />Standards <br /> <br />Standards for all business and industrial districts shall be as <br />specified in this chapter unless specified otherwise in this <br />section. <br /> 1. Building Design and Construction: <br /> a. All exterior wall finishes on any building con- <br /> structed shall be of material other than metal on <br /> at least fifty percent (50I) of the exposed wall <br /> where the building is adjacent to any other exist- <br /> ing or future structure or street. Tbs Planning <br /> Commission, City Council and/or requirements of <br /> the State Building Code may change the require- <br /> ments of this paragraph depending on the relative <br /> location of the building and surrounding areas. <br /> b. All buildings in the business districts shall be <br /> of Type III or Iv construction as defined in the <br /> Ninnesota State Building Code. All buildings shall <br /> be constructed of non-combustible material and shall <br /> have frost footings constructed in compliance with <br /> the State l~uilding Code. <br /> 2. Wastes: <br /> All solid waste material and refuse aha11 be stored <br /> within a completely creened structure or container <br /> designed for such purpose. All hazardous wastes shall <br /> be disposed of in accordance with I/.P.C.A. Regulations <br /> on Hazardous 1/astes as adopted June 18, 1979 and <br /> contained in 6IiCAR Ninnesota Code of Agency Rules, <br /> Paragraphs 4o9001 - 4.9010. The City Engineer shall <br /> prescribe the manner of sewage treatment and disposal <br /> in the case of large volume water useage. Section <br /> 150.01 of the City Code shall also regulate wastes with <br /> exception that there needs to a contiguous area for the <br /> installation of three soil absorption systems based on <br /> water useage. <br /> 3. Off-street parking <br /> a. Design and Construction: <br /> Off-street parking areas shall be so designed that <br /> vehicles may be parked in an convenient and orderly <br /> fashion. Parking areas shall be surfaced and main- <br /> tained with a hard, all-weather, durable, dust-free <br /> surfacing material, shall be properly drained, and <br /> shall be maintained in a sightly and well-kept con- <br /> dition. Each parking space shall be clearly outlined <br /> or other marked and shall have a minimum width of <br /> nine feet and length of twenty feet exclusive of <br /> aisles and maneuvering space. Clear aisle widths <br /> shall be at least twelve feet for forty-five degree <br /> angle parking. Any lighting used to illuminate off- <br /> street parking areas shall be so arranged as to de- <br /> flect the light away from adjacent properties and <br /> roadways. <br /> b.
