Plants And Thin_~a: <br /> <br />Mr. ~ick~an vas present and referred to the question regarding the setback <br />distance of his ney accessory structure at Plants and Things; at tbs time, be <br />did receive approval from City ~uilding Inspector Walter 3obnson. When the <br />building footings vere being installed, 3 persons fro~ ~amsey stopped by'to <br />~easure distances and stated the distances vere up to code. <br /> <br />Commissioner Eendr£ksen stated that be vas one of those persons that stopped by <br />after construction vas completed and his comment vas that in just stepping off <br />the distance, it seemed close enough to code considering the building ~as <br />already built. <br /> <br />Mr. ~ickman stated that at the time footings vere being installed, he vas told <br />b7 Nr. Wirz that the distances vere 0.~. <br /> <br />Commissioner Dee~er inquired if ~r. ~iclu~an ever provided the building <br />inspector vith a lot aurvel. <br /> <br />Nr. Hick~an replied that he did provide a lot survey. Mr. ~ick~an also stated <br />that professional surveyors ~easured and they determined that the road is off <br />by I0'. Nr. ~ickman stated that he is in Razsey to do business and he would <br />have moved his buildin$ 3' to please the city had he been iustructed to do as <br />at the beginnin~ of construction, <br /> <br />Commissioner Dee~er stated that Nr. Bickman'a construction did ~et caught in <br />the middle of a change in building inspector staff at the city. Technically, <br />Mr. Hick~an cannot sell his property until this ~atter is cleared up; it is a <br />cloud on his title. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ziunner~an advised Nr. Hick~an that for any future constuction he <br />hire professionals to be sure building placement is proper; city buildin~ <br />inspector can require a certificate of survey but it is the property ovner's <br />responsibility to be sure the buildings are properly placed. <br /> <br />~r. Hick~an replied that he vas told that he did not need a certificate of <br />survey and the buildin~ use vas for warehouse; the building is nov being used <br />for shovroo~ containin§ duplicates of vhat is displayed in the main showroom, <br />Mr. Hicl~nan stated that he vould have built in Elk River had be kno~rn he vould <br />have all these problems in Ramsay. <br /> <br />Chairman ?stetson inquired if Nr.
