Nick~·n inquired ·s to why the City let him put sp· Fetal buildin~ and <br />noted that it is the nicest lookins building on the lo~. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson stated that St·ts Building Code also requires adequate toilet <br />facilities; if Hr. llick~an's existing facilities are ~dequate, the Commission <br />will not require additional toilet facilities. <br /> <br />Commissioner Zi~ner~an noted that the State Building Inspector has the final <br />word on ·equacy of toilet facilities. <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson stated that the connection between the ney and existing <br />building was done without · building permit. <br /> <br />Hso Norris replied that it was agreed between Hr. Wirz and Hr. Hickman that the <br />connection was a part of the building permit on the ne~ structure. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendr/ksen suggested that it might be necessary to conduct a <br />special meeting with gr. Hickman to resolve some of these problems. <br /> <br />Commissioner Howell stated that a couple o[ ~ers of the Economic Development <br />Commission should also work on this case. <br /> <br />Hr. Hickman stated that he is willing to work with the City but he does not <br />want to change the image of his business. <br /> <br />Commissioners Zinnnerman and Bendrlksen stated that they like llr. Hick~an's <br />business; the intent is not to change the business image; providing a <br />designated parking area is a small concession to make. The City is looking for <br />a sign of good faith that Hr. Hickman is willing to resolve some of these <br />issues by providing a professionally prepared site plan; the Commission will be <br />glad to meet with Hr. Hickman to work these issues out. <br /> <br />Hotion by Commissioner Z/mmerman and seconded by Coumissioner Deemer that in <br />lieu of the amount of time already expended discussing this case and other <br />persons waiting to have their cases addressed, to direct that discussions <br />regarding Plants and Things close and to request that Hr. Hickman provide the <br />city with a registered lot survey and site plan within 90 days (regular October <br />meetin~ of the Planning and ZoninE Commission). <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Hr. Hickman inquired about his 'Green Acres* <br />classification. Chairman Peterson stated that 'Green Acres' classification <br />will have to be determined by the City Assessor. Hr, Hick, man requested that <br />Ha. Norris forward a letter to him regarding *Green Acres* rights. <br /> <br />Hotion carried, Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Shumway, Deemer, <br />Z/nnnerman, LaDue, Hendr£ksen and Howell.
