ACTION PLAN <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />NEED: Drainage outlets into the Mississippi River and Rum River. <br /> <br />As s part of the overall drainage system needs, outlets into the Mimmissippi <br />and Rum Rivers are key to providing high water relief to a major portion of <br />the community. The need becomes more and more critical as the density of the <br />community increases with development. Therefore, the need has short and long <br />range impact. <br /> <br />ACTION TEAM: The following persons are members of the "Action Team" and will <br />contribute in their own way to seeking a solution to the NEED. <br /> <br />Primary Coordinator <br />Secondary Coordinator <br /> <br />Peter Kaatikka, City Engineer <br />Merle Mevissen, Public Works Director <br /> <br />Anoka County Engineering Department <br />Department of Natural Resources <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Economic Development Commission <br />City Financial Advisor <br />City Council Member <br />Citizen (not a board member) <br /> <br />OBJECTIVE: <br /> <br /> As members of the Action Team, you are asked to: <br /> <br />1) Identify where drainage outlets are needed. <br /> <br />2) Identify when the improvements, if any, should be made. <br />3) Propose a means of financing any needed inprovements. <br /> <br />ACTION: The team should meet an prepare a position paper which addresses the <br />"Objectives" within the next two months. <br /> <br />RESOURCES: <br /> <br />Comprehensive Storm Drainage Plan for the City of Ramsey. <br />County ditch records. <br />Aerial photos or 1/2 section maps. <br />U.S.G.S. maps. <br />Feasibility studies. <br /> <br /> <br />
