3. Continually review and evaluate the park system development <br />and recreation programming. <br /> <br /> 4. Develop and recommend methods to stimulate positive public <br />interest in the park and recreation functions. <br /> <br /> 5, Monitor and reflect attitudes and consensus of citizens rel- <br />ative to the park system and recreation programs and serve as a forum for <br />the citizens to voice their opinions regarding the park and recreation <br />function. <br /> <br /> 6. Promote coordination with the school district(s) serving <br />Ramsey, encouraging the interchangeable use of city and school district <br />facilities and programs to the best interests of the citizens. <br /> <br /> 7. Encourage dissemination of information to, and coordinate <br />with, Ramsey organizations interested in the park and recreation function, <br />such as athletic groups, youth groups, civic organizations, etc. <br /> <br /> 8. Develop and recommend feasible programs relative to the con- <br />servation of our environment. <br /> <br /> 9. Encourage coordination with other communities to the extent <br />appropriate in matters pertinent to the park and recreation function. <br /> <br />10. 046 ('lOt ~PO$] TI ON <br /> <br />The commission shall be composed of a chairman and six members, all of <br />whom shall be appointed and serve as set forth in Section 10.047. <br /> <br />10.047 :.h':21EEl,~£ il]iiil~.~i.) OF ;-;ELF, C[IO,~,~ - 'fEi-g4 OF OFF]CE <br /> <br /> 1. The chairman shall be selected annually by a majority vote <br />of the commission. The chairman may be removed by a majority vote of the <br />commission. The chairman shall have the following responsibilities in <br />addition to those otherwise described herein: <br /> <br />a. Preside over all meetings of the commission. <br />b. Appear or appoint a representative to appear, as neces- <br /> sary, before the city advisory commissions and the city <br /> council to present the viewpoint of the commission on <br /> matters pertaining to the park and recreation function <br /> as it relates to business under consideration by said <br /> commission or city council. <br />c. Review all city council, planning commission and other <br /> advisory commission minutes and inform the park and <br /> recreation commission of matters relevant to the park <br /> and recreation function. <br />d. Provide liaison with other governmental and volunteer <br /> units in matters relating to the park and recreation <br /> function. <br />e. Prepare agendas for each commission meeting. <br /> <br /> 2. A vice chairman shall be appointed annually by the chairman. <br />The vice chairman shall perform such duties as may be assigned by the chair- <br />man and shall assume responsibilities mf the chair in the absence of the <br />chairman. <br /> <br /> <br />
