Members of the commission sh;,]l be appoJnted by a mojorjty <br />votu of thu city council Jar term~ of three year~, except thief any per,on <br />appointed to fill a vacancy occurring prior to thu expiration of iht. term <br />for which his predecessor was appointed shall be appointed only for the <br />remainder of $uch term. <br /> <br /> 6. Hembers of the commission shall be residents of the City of <br />Ramsey ~ile serving on the commission and shall represent a broad range <br />of interest in the park and recreation function. <br /> <br /> 5. The commission became effective on their first meeting on <br />October 23, 1975, with three members appointed for a term through 1978, <br />two members appointed for a term through 1977, and two members appointed <br />for a term through 1976. <br /> <br /> 6. Commissioners may resign voluntarily or may be removed from <br />office by a majority vote of the city council. Three consecutive unexcused <br />absences from duly called commission meetings shall constitute automatic <br />resignation from office. Vacancies in the commission are to be filled by <br />city council appointment with a majority vote, <br /> <br /> 7. Commissioners shall serve without compensation. The secretary <br />shall receive $120.00 per year. <br /> <br />10.048 .vd ~Lt~.':, ;~,,'I) PRt ff3:.lg3:~.,'; <br /> <br />The commission shall adopt such rules and procedures not inconsistent with <br />these provisions as may be necessary for the proper execution and Conduct <br />of business. <br /> <br />10. 049 <br /> <br />Regular meetings shall be held at least once a month with date and time <br />determined by the commission. Special meetings may be called by the chair- <br />man. Ail meetings shall be public meetings and open to the public. <br /> <br />10. 0410 EX-OI.q:ICIO I~D. IBEP, S <br /> <br />The mayor may appoint a council member or a city staff person as an ex- <br />officio member of the commission privileged to speak on any matter with- <br />out a vote, and the ex-officio member shall provide a liaison between <br />the commission and the city council. <br /> <br /> <br />
