3. Hembers of the commission shall be residents of the City of Ramsey ~ile serving on the commission and shall represent a broad range of interest in the park and recreation function. 5. The commission became effective on their first meeting on October 23, 1975, with three members appointed for a term through 1978, two members appointed for a term through 1977, and two members appointed for a term through 1976. 6. Commissioners may resign voluntarily or may be removed from office by a majority vote of the city council. Three consecutive unexcused absences from duly called commission meetings shall constitute automatic resignation from office. Vacancies in the commission are to be filled by city council appointment with a majority vote, 7. Commissioners shall serve without compensation. The secretary shall receive $120.00 per year. 10.048 .vd ~Lt~.':, ;~,,'I) PRt ff3:.lg3:~.,'; The commission shall adopt such rules and procedures not inconsistent with these provisions as may be necessary for the proper execution and Conduct of business. 10. 049 Regular meetings shall be held at least once a month with date and time determined by the commission. IBEP, S The mayor may appoint a council member or a city staff person as an ex- officio member of the commission privileged to speak on any matter with- out a vote, and the ex-officio member shall provide a liaison between the commission and the city council.
