From ~lhe City Of ]~amsev <br /> Rum River ~Hilis, Inc_' _For ~he p6rmSe Of A Public Golf Course: - <br /> <br />Council noted the proposed ordinance which provides for the conveyance by the <br />City of Ramsey to Rt~ River ltills, Inc. of Outlots A, B, D and E to be used <br />for a public golf oourse. <br /> <br />C. Economic I)evelo~ent ~isslon Goal~ Statement.. <br /> <br />Council noted receiving memo from Economic Develol~ent Con~ission regarding <br />their goal statement. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman stated that it is his hope that Council and the various <br />conmissions can work together towards a conmon goal; recommendations from <br />these oon~issions are seriously considered but the Council needs to know <br />whether or not the goals of the various oormmissions oorrespond with the City's <br />Comprehensive Plan. Mayor Iteitman stated that the statement received from the <br />Eoonomic Development Conlnission simply doesn't oover any of this. Mayor <br />Heitman stated that he anticipates this to be a long term process but hopes <br />significant progress can be made in less than a year. <br /> <br />Councilmenber Cox stated that he is not understanding what Mayor Heit~an is <br />looking for. <br /> <br />Mayor lteitman suggested that Councilmember Cox read the minutes. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox stated that reading the minutes and contacting commission <br />members would bring Mayor Iteitman up to date on the various oommissions. <br />Councilmember Cox stated that he doesn't know of any eommission, other than <br />one, that has not been working towards a oommon goal for the City. ~hese <br />con~nissions should be taken seriotlsly. <br /> <br />[%~/or Heitman inquired if Councilmerber COx is implying that he doesn't take <br />the Conmissions seriously and stated that it is obvious what he is requesting <br />of the ~issions. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox inquired in what way the Economic Development Con~ission <br />goals statement doesn't answer Mayor Beitman's request. <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman replied that the Eoonomic Con~ission statement is a paragraph, <br />it doesn't say if the Connission goals correspond to the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Mayor Heitman stated it is the responsibility of the Con~issions to carry out <br />goals that oorrespond to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Councilmeuber Cox stated that it is Council's responsibility to see that the <br /> February 12, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 12 of 16 <br /> <br /> <br />
